'PFEFFERER' COLTERENZIO 2023 DESCRIPTION

The white "Pfefferer" is Colterenzio winery's homage to the Alto Adige terroir. That's right, because this label is named after a particular variety of Yellow Muscat, which has always been grown in the territories surrounding the winery. It is a bottle characterized by a light pepper spiciness - "pfeffer" in German means "pepper" - that has a pleasantly refreshing streak on the palate, making drinking an almost automatic gesture. A white to try, to experience one of the most original products in the entire range produced by Colterenzio in Appiano.

The "Pfefferer" comes from the pure use of Moscato Giallo. In particular, this label is named after a specific variety of Yellow Muscat, which has always been called "Pfeffer" in the local language. The grapes are grown by the Colterezio winery team within vineyards characterized by a gravelly and sandy subsoil. The grapes, selected and harvested during the harvest, alcoholically ferment in temperature-controlled steel containers. The wine then remains in steel to age for a few months, until bottling and marketing.

On visual examination, the white wine "Pfefferer" reveals itself with a typical straw yellow color. The nose is mainly enveloped in pleasant fruity notes, which are enriched by light herbaceous and spicy sensations. On the palate it is light-bodied, drinkable and flowing, with a lively sip, marked by a fresh imprint that envelops the palate in a dynamic taste experience. A bottle with a young and bright profile, which maintains a good elegance, and which proves to be an excellent companion to great meals: in fact, it is extremely versatile, and finds its gastronomic pairing in combination with first and second courses of fish.
