The Pinot Noir from Agricola Mos is a fresh, lively red from a young Trentino reality, based on a noble grape variety that is achieving great results in the region. The vineyards are located on porphyry-rich soils, responsible for particular finesse in the final wine. On the nose, there are hints of black and red fruit, aromas of sweet spices along with notes reminiscent of wet stone. A 'mountain' sip, fresh, clear, and savory, accompanied by great juiciness and elegance, making this Pinot both drinkable and precious at the same time
The Pinot Noir from the wine estate Agricola MoS represents an interpretation of the most famous black grape variety from Burgundy with a slender and crunchy sip. We are in the alpine context of Trentino, within the beautiful terraced valley known as Val di Cembra, one of the most important wine-growing areas in the region. Pinot Noir is one of the latest additions at MoS, the result of a project started in 2020 with the planting of a small vineyard on the terraced porphyry soils supported by dry stone walls that characterize Val di Cembra. Here, cousins Luca Moser and Federico Ferretti are engaged in what is a true example of heroic viticulture, with mechanization made at times impossible by the dizzying slopes of the hills on which the vineyards grow.
Agricola MoS Pinot Noir is made with pure Pinot Noir grapes cultivated inspired by organic farming, using only copper and sulfur to defend against phytopathogenic agents. In particular, the grapes come from a young and small vineyard, rooted in soil rich in porphyry and worked almost exclusively by hand. In the winery, the grapes are vinified red through spontaneous alcoholic fermentation in stainless steel tanks in contact with the skins, followed by a maturation of about 6 months that takes place between stainless steel and used barriques.
The Pinot Noir Agricola MoS presents itself with a light and bright ruby red cloak. Fragrant fruity aromas of blackberry and cherry outline the olfactory profile, associated with hints of underbrush, clove, and wet stone. The tasting is flavorful and elegant, with excellent momentum thanks to the juicy freshness and fine tannins, elements that anticipate the crunchy sensations of berries in the finish.
