PINOT NERO RISERVA 'TRATTMANN' GIRLAN 2021 DESCRIPTION

"Trattmann" is a Pinot Noir Riserva of Alto Adige in which elegance and structure go hand in hand, telling the potential of this grape within the terroir of Mazzon, a small hamlet above Egna. Here the altitude, combined with a climate that alternates refreshing breezes with very sunny days, offers ideal conditions for optimal growth of each cluster. The result is an excellent label, with which Girlan ranks at the top of the most important Italian guides of the industry. A red to absolutely try.

This Pinot Noir Riserva "Trattmann" comes from the pure grapes of Pinot Noir, an international red grape variety that, in Trentino Alto Adige, is able to express itself on interesting quality levels. The grapes of this variety are grown by Girlan in the Trattmann farm, located on the slopes of Mazzon, an area incredibly suited to the production of this grape. We are about 400 meters above sea level, in a vineyard facing southwest, characterized by a clay subsoil that contains silt. Once harvested, the grapes ferment in steel for 18-20 days at controlled temperature, also carrying out malolactic fermentation. Aging lasts 15 months and is carried out both in large and in small oak barrels.

The red wine "Trattmann" is a Pinot Noir Riserva which, on visual examination, has a pale ruby red color, also characterized by slight nuances that tend to garnet. To the nose there are ample and stratified aromas, where the red fruit, well ripe, develops on different notes. In the mouth it has a medium body, harmonious, with a delicate sip, subtle and charming, in which the tannin is perfectly integrated into the overall structure. A label signed by Girlan with which the Pinot Noir reaches great quality among the whole region of Trentino Alto Adige.
