Pinot Noir Arbois 'Clos St Laurent' Domaine du Pelican 2022

The Arbois ‘Clos Saint-Laurent’ by Domaine du Pélican is a fresh, fine, and territorial red from Jura. The grapes come exclusively from Clos Saint-Laurent, a plot located in Montigny-lès-Arsures behind the winery. This label was born in 2018 with the intent to enhance the identity of this limestone vineyard. The winemaking involves complete destemming, about two weeks of maceration with light pump-overs, and aging partly in 228-liter barrique and partly in large barrels. On the nose, hints of cherry, notes of small red fruits, floral reminders of violet, and delicate spicy nuances emerge.
