Cristom's "Eileen" Pinot Noir is a fine red from the American West Coast, from the now fully established Oregon wine county. Cristom Vineyards is one of those wineries that is raising awareness of the many terroirs of this state: today the Willamette Valley is one of the most important Pinot regions in the world. This is an elegant and complex wine, characterized by red and black fruit notes, with floral and spicy hints that set the stage for pleasant hints of cocoa on the finish. Fresh and juicy on the palate, the sip is creamy, intense, flowing like silk. A great wine, perfect for great meat dinners.

The Pinot Noir “Eileen” is one of the jewels of the American winery Cristom. It is a single vineyard wine, named after one of the estate's founders. The label highlights how the demanding and capricious Burgundy grape variety has adapted very well to the cool climate and suitable soils of Oregon, finding in this region a second home where it can express itself at the highest quality levels. It is a high-end bottle, intended for the finest connoisseurs of Pinot Noir, who will appreciate its absolute value and the unique personality of the production site.

“Eileen” Pinot Noir is produced by Cristom Vineyards, a prestigious estate located in the Willamette Valley, considered one of the finest areas in the United States and particularly suited for Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. Founded in the 1990s, the winery has made a name for itself in the global wine scene thanks to a range of high-quality labels and a philosophy focused on the enhancement of individual plots, clearly inspired byBurgundian. The grapes come exclusively from Eileen Vineyard, which is located at an altitude of about 200-250 meters above sea level, overlooking the wonderful landscapes of the Cascade Range to the east and the Oregon Coast Range to the west. The climate is very cool due to the constant presence of ocean currents, which promote slow and gradual ripening, ideal for Pinot Noir. The soils are of ancient volcanic origin and consist of basalt flows. The grapes are spontaneously fermented using only indigenous yeasts in open-top tanks. The wine ages for a period of 20 months in oak barrels before bottling.

Harmonious and finely nuanced, it presents delicate aromas, wrapped in a fine and chiseled tannic texture, which anticipates a fragrant, fresh finish with good taste persistence.
