The Primitivo di Manduria "Talò" is a structured and intense red wine, with a wide and persistent bouquet featuring notes of ripe cherry and plum, with final nuances of cocoa and vanilla. It is aged for 6 months in French and American barrels

The Primitivo di Manduria "Talò" from Cantine San Marzano is a soft and intense red, perfectly expressing the Mediterranean and rich face of the Puglia land. This ancient red grape variety of Dalmatian origin has found a favored land for centuries in the Manduria area, where it expresses itself with a particularly seductive and Mediterranean character. The brief aging in wood allows the wine to soften the tannins while preserving its typical richness and fruity fragrance. Its enveloping sip seduces with aromas of ripe cherry, plum, and sweet spices.

The "Talò" Primitivo di Manduria is a wine that well represents the style of one of the most important producers from Puglia. Cantine San Marzano can rely on a selection of grapes from a wide range of vineyards cultivated in the heart of Salento, on lands rich in clay. The warm and dry climate, always well-ventilated due to the nearby presence of the sea, ensures excellent ripening of the grapes with very dense aromatic profiles and a high sugar content. Primitivo is the wine that best represents the happy union between grape and territory. The choice of a very measured wood aging always keeps the seductive aromas of the grapes in the foreground.

The Primitivo di Manduria "Talò" from Cantine San Marzano is a young and fragrant red, ideal for tasting with meat ragù pasta dishes or with a mixed grill. It is a version of great pleasantness and immediacy of drink. The vinification takes place in red, with a maceration period on the skins of about 10 days. It then matures in French and American oak barriques for about 6 months. In the glass, it presents a ruby red color with slight violet reflections. On the nose, it expresses aromas of cherry, ripe sour cherry, red plum, hints of bitter cocoa, vanilla, and soft oriental spices. On the palate, it has a good structure, is rich and broad, with a fine tannic texture and a warm, generous and very persistent sip. It is the version of Primitivo that allows you to know the true face of Salento wines.
