The Primitivo Doppio Passo is a red wine from Salento with a soft and round profile. The maturation in steel allows the wine to express the varietal notes of the grape, highlighting sensations of red fruit, seasoned with hints of Mediterranean herbs and spices. The sip is agile, light, velvety, and very drinkable.

The Primitivo from Masseria Doppio Passo is a round, fruity, and Mediterranean red wine, characteristics inherent to the grape from which it descends. The Doppio Passo winery, located within the municipality of San Pancrazio Salentino, in the far south of the province of Brindisi, was acquired by the Venetian Botter family in 2017, already owners of numerous vineyards scattered across some of the most prestigious wine regions in all of Italy. The purchase of Masseria Doppio Passo was accompanied by a strong desire to enhance the area and its traditional vineyards, first and foremost the Primitivo.

Doppio Passo Primitivo consists solely of grapes from the eponymous black-skinned variety grown in the Mediterranean climate of Salento, caressed by the Adriatic and Ionian sea breezes. Once the clusters have reached full ripeness, harvesting, careful selection, and classic red winemaking proceed. The fermentation process takes place in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks, a winemaking container in which the mass rests.a few months for the subsequent maturation period that precedes bottling.

The Primitivo from the Salento winery Doppio Passo presents itself with a bright ruby red color. The nose is characterized by notes of ripe red fruit, cherry, and sweet spices, enriched by hints of Mediterranean herbs. Velvety, rich, and soft on the palate, supported by great freshness. The finish insists on sweet sensations of ripe fruit. A typical expression of Salento Primitivo in which all the character of the grape variety and the territory is found. The recommendation is to pair this label with grilled meats, such as lamb and pork. Excellent also the pairing with pasta with ragù or with cured meats of a certain aging.
