PROSECCO DI VALDOBBIADENE SUPERIORE BRUT 'DIRUPO' ANDREOLA DESCRIPTION

Prosecco di Valdobbiadene Superiore Brut 'Dirupo' is one of Andreola's labels, part of the Stefano Pola Selection. As its name suggests, it originates in a well-exposed hilly area characterised by steep slopes, which guarantee perfect ripeness of the grapes, with intense and rich aromas, ideal for making a Brut version. It is a Prosecco that combines ripe, expressive fruit with remarkable freshness, providing harmonious balance on the palate and inviting one to sip again thanks to the clear mineral and saline component of the finish.

"Dirupo' is a Prosecco di Valdobbiadene Superiore Brut from the Andreola winery, one of the reference producers in the Valdobbiadene area. The company's vineyards are located near Col S. Martino and extend over a total area of about 40 hectares. Dirupo is the fruit of Glera, Bianchetta and Perera grapes from plots located on particularly steep slopes and cultivated at an altitude of 300 metres above sea level, with a sunny south-facing exposure. The soils are predominantly composed of clay, resting on deep sandstone substrates. The slopes force laborious manual harvesting typical of heroic viticulture. The grapes are softly pressed and the must is sent to fermentation, which takes place in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks. Refermentation and second fermentation take place in autoclaves using the Charmat or Martinotti method.

Valdobbiadene Brut "Dirupo" from the Andreola winery is a Prosecco Superiore, which, thanks to moderate dosage, expresses the typical fragrance and freshness of the grapes in a straightforward manner. Due to its characteristics, it is very suitable to be enjoyed as an aperitif or to accompany seafood or vegetable-based first courses. It is a luminous pale straw yellow with light greenish reflections. The perlage is of good fineness and persistence, with a soft froth. The olfactory profile is delicate and fine, with aromas of white flowers, citrus peel, green apple and Williams pear. The entry on the palate is soft and creamy, with a mouthfeel of ripe, rich fruit that anticipates a finish of good freshness.
