PROSECCO DI VALDOBBIADENE BRUT 'FAGHER' LE COLTURE DESCRIPTION

Prosecco Brut "Fagher" from Le Colture winery is a sparkling wine of great quality, the most modern type, that has obtained international success. An inviting and very delicate sweetness accompanied by a unique balance and harmony, where citrus notes and vegetal sensations alternate with nuances of bread crust. Le Colture boasts an impressive 500 years of history, and in 1983 Cesare Ruggeri started the production of sparkling wines, being located in one of the most vocated areas in Italy: the hills of Santo Stefano di Valdobbiadene, which became a Unesco World Heritage Site in 2019.

"Fagher" is a Prosecco Brut made from 90 percent Glera and 10 percent Chardonnay. It is a sparkling wine that comes from the beautiful setting of Santo Stefano di Valdobbiadene, a small town nestled in the heart of the Prosecco hills. 45 hectares of vineyard throughout the Valdobbiadene area that allows the production of wines with great personality and intense territoriality. After harvesting from mid-September to mid-October, the grapes undergo soft pressing and fermentation in steel tanks takes place without skin contact, at a controlled temperature. The second fermentation takes place in autoclaves according to the rules of the Charmat method.

Prosecco di Valdobbiadene "Fagher" presents itself to the eye with a beautiful straw yellow color with a fine and persistent perlage. Once in the glass, the bouquet reveals itself to be quite rich and full of citrus scents, especially grapefruit and lemon, with touches of balsamic notes that give it depth. There are also touches of exotic fruit, pineapple in primis, and a few puffs of thyme, on a crisp bread finish. This Prosecco comes out fresh, dry, elegant, with great balance and a nice character. "Fagher," a modern Prosecco, a model for sparkling wines.
