Riesling 'A l'Horizon' Du Vin aux Liens 2023

The Riesling ‘A l’Horizon’ represents an Alsatian white wine, skilled at uniting concentration and dynamism, originating from the collaboration between the wine project Du Vin aux Liens and Domaine Albert Hertz. The vineyards from which the grapes come, owned by the Albert Hertz winery, have been certified biodynamic since 2007. This Domaine was selected by Vanessa Letort, owner of Du Vin aux Liens, who intends to highlight artisanal winemakers from Alsace and Loire. The beautiful and colorful illustration on the label is the work of Argentine artist Ariel Cortez.

Du Vin aux Liens and Domaine Albert Hertz ‘A l’Horizon’ is a 100% Riesling from vines about 30 years old managed under certified organic and biodynamic regimes. The vines are rooted in clay-limestone soils, located within the municipality of Eguisheim. After manual harvesting, the grapes are gently pressed, with the must placed to ferment in oak barrels thanks to the sole intervention of indigenous yeasts, without the use of any additives and oenological aids. Once the fermentation process is complete, the wine spends an additional 12 months aging in oak barrels before bottling, which occurs without any filtration.

The Alsatian Riesling ‘A l’Horizon’ by Du Vin aux Liens and Domaine Albert Hertz shows a straw yellow color with greenish reflections. From the glass emerge fragrant and articulated aromas of white-fleshed fruit, flowers, and exotic fruit, combined with mineral hints and acacia honey. Dry and smooth taste, with lively freshness and a marked savory trail that leads to a lasting aromatic finish. This is a rich and elegant Alsatian Riesling, an excellent pairing with elaborate dishes from Eastern cuisine.
