"Rosematte" is a Sicilian rosé made with 100% Nerello Mascalese in the Messina area, right near the strait. It is an elegant and refined wine that on the nose expresses floral notes, delicate aromas of red currant, small berries, and hints of wild herbs typical of the Mediterranean scrub. Fresh and savory, it has a nimble and smooth sip with fruity notes and marine memories.
The wine "Rosematte" is produced by the young winery Casematte, which cultivates about ten hectares in the Faro Superiore area. The vines overlook the Strait of Messina, in a beautiful hilly area facing north, and rise up to an altitude of 500 meters above sea level, with terracing and dry stone walls. The warm Mediterranean climate is mitigated by sea breezes and strong temperature fluctuations between day and night. The vines are grown under organic farming practices on calcareous sandy soils, with low yields not exceeding 50 quintals per hectare, in order to always achieve the highest quality. The grapes are picked slightly early to preserve good freshness and then sent for fermentation in stainless steel, with a very brief contact with the skins, enough to extract delicate aromas and a minimum of color. It matures for 6 months on the lees in stainless steel before being bottled.

On the palate, it has a vibrant freshness, an energetic and savory sip, with delicate fruit and a pleasant citrus finish.
