Rosso del Levriero is a smooth, elegant and structured red wine from Messina area from Nocera and Syrah, aged for at least 12 months in barrique. It smells like wild berries, black cherries, vanilla and sweet spices. The taste is smooth, intense, structured, rich and persistent

Rosso del Levriero Cambria is a label that speaks of history. Its name comes from the legend linked to the greyhound of Ruggero II d'Altavilla, the first king of Sicily, who gave rise to the barony of Furnari, a small town overlooking the Gulf of Tindari, in the province of Messina. It is one of the excellences of this historic winery, a significant red sourced from the best vineyards of the Cambria family, located in a position of rare beauty, just steps from the sea with a unique view of the Aeolian Islands.

Cambria Rosso del Levriero is made from 50% Nocera grapes, one of the oldest indigenous Sicilian grape varieties, and 50% Syrah, the great grape variety originating from the Rhône Valley, which has found its ideal terroir on the northeastern coast of the island for decades. The grapes are hand-harvested between the second half of August and the first half of September. After vinification in steel, the wine is left to macerate on the skins for about 15 days, acquiring a complex structure and intense aromaticity. This is followed by racking and a gentle pressing, aimed at preserving the quality of the aromatic structure to the fullest. The aging takes place in woods of varying capacities for about 14 months and continues in the bottle for another 6 months.

This red wine from Cambria presents an intense red color with garnet reflections. On the nose, pleasant aromas of cherries and fresh sour cherries emerge, enhanced by the typical spicy notes of Syrah. Black pepper, vanilla, and a hint of licorice are perceived on the palate, where the entry is vigorous but made extremely soft by fine and pleasant tannins. An elegant finish, with sweet spices and a delicately savory note. A bottle that encapsulates the warmth of the Sicilian land and the freshness of the sea breeze in which it is born. Ideal to pair with large red meats and aged cheeses from southern Italy.
