The Rosso del Trasimeno “Glanio” by Madrevite is a gastronomic Sangiovese from Umbria, produced on the shores of Lake Trasimeno. The grapes are harvested from a single vineyard, Le Capanne, hand-selected, carefully treated, and vinified in cement to enhance the freshness of the grape variety. Red fruits and citrus are the first notes that are perceived in the glass, along with delicate 'nuances' of pepper that intrigue and entice the sip. Soft, velvety and persistent, a Sangiovese perfect for accompanying the entire meal

The ‘Glanio’ Rosso del Trasimeno from the Umbrian producer Madrevite is a label with a juicy and quite drinkable taste that is configured as the ideal wine for everyday life. In addition to dedicating itself to the production of wine and oil on the shores of Lake Trasimeno, the Madrevite estate offers the possibility to book various activities, from the more classic ones like “Wine Tasting” to some more refined ones like the “Picnicco,” a sunset picnic immersed among the vineyards, passing through the experiences “Sleep among the vines” and “Eat in the Village,” all to experience the Trasimeno area at 360°. The name ‘Glanio’ comes from the ancient river that flowed where today lies Lake Chiusi.

‘Glanio’ Madrevite Rosso del Trasimeno is a pure Sangiovese from a 20-year-old vineyard located on a predominantly clayey soil, endowed with a good presence of silt, small-sized skeleton, and microelements. The plot, which takes the name “Vigna le Capanne,” is managed without the use of synthetic chemical products and is located at an altitude of 320 meters with a north-west exposure. After manual harvesting, the grapes are vinified in red through spontaneous alcoholic fermentation for 10 days in contact with the skins, carried out exclusively by indigenous yeasts. The subsequent maturation phase takes place in concrete tanks and lasts for 12 months until bottling and the subsequent short resting in glass that precedes commercialization.

‘Glanio’ Rosso del Trasimeno Madrevite is a light ruby red with violet hues. The bouquet offers perceptions of cherry, currant, and orange peel accompanied by notes of aromatic herbs like oregano and spices like white pepper. Soft and well-balanced the taste, with silky tannins that lead to a finish of appreciable persistence.
