The Sangiovese di Romagna Superiore Zero Added Sulfites from Fattoria Monticino Rosso sees its grapes born on the hills of Imola, practically halfway between the Emilian capital and the first Romagna beaches. On predominantly clayey soils, this Sangiovese manages to evoke both the characteristics of the territory and the intrinsic peculiarities of the grape variety.
The Zero Added Sulfites Sangiovese di Romagna Superiore Fattoria Monticino Rosso begins to come to life starting from the third week of September when the harvest begins. Selection of the grapes is exclusively manual to maintain high quality of the fruits to be processed in the completely underground winery, an idea that coherently blends with the production philosophy of the Zeoli family, owners of the estate. The grapes that arrive in the fermentation rooms undergo a maceration lasting about 3 weeks without any type of added sulfites, as is promptly noted on the label. Subsequently, the aging takes place inside steel tanks for about 6 months.
