"Sasyr" is a red wine from Maremma that originates, as the name suggests, from a blend of Sangiovese and Syrah grapes. It reveals a soft, broad profile with good freshness, rich aromas of berries, cherry, hints of spices, and toasted nuances. A red with an excellent quality/price ratio and strong gastronomic power!

The “Sasyr” Rocca delle Macie is a red soft and enveloping, with a Mediterranean face, that well expresses the sunny character of the Maremma Toscana territory. It is an unusual blend created by combining Sangiovese with Syrah. The elegant freshness of Sangiovese pairs very well with the rich fruit, structure, and spiciness typical of the French variety, creating a combination of great taste balance. The aging almost exclusively in steel allows the pleasant fruity richness to remain intact. Young and smooth, it is a red that offers immediate drinking pleasure.

The red “Sasyr” from Rocca delle Macie is born in the heart of Maremma Toscana, specifically in the Campomaccione estate, in the province of Grosseto. The vineyards are located at an altitude of about 130 meters above sea level, with exposure facing north and northwest, in an area with a warm and breezy Mediterranean climate, mitigated by the breezes from the Tyrrhenian Sea. The Sangiovese and Syrah vines are cultivated on particularly suited soils for red grape varieties, mainly consisting of sands and sandstones. The harvest takes place at full ripeness and the grapes are sent for fermentation in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks, with skin maceration. The base wines mature for 6 months, the Syrah in steel tanks, the Sangiovese partly in steel and partly in small oak barrels.

The wine “Sasyr” Rocca delle Macie is a red that directly expresses the varietal characteristics of two great red grape varieties, which complement each other beautifully. In appearance, it presents a rather dark ruby red color. Rich and fruity, it opens on the nose revealing a wide aromatic range, ranging from notes of cherry, blueberry, blackberry, currant, red plum, toasted nuances, oriental spices, and a touch of black pepper. The palate entry is soft and harmonious, with fine tannins and a fragrant and juicy fruit, full of exuberant richness. The finish is very balanced, fresh and fruity, with a closure that returns to spicy sensations. Young and immediate, it is an easy and pleasant bottle.
