Callmewine's FavouritesSauvignon 'Brinz' Radiz is a wine of great elegance that blends South Tyrolean tradition with the typical varietal notes of the grape in every sip. Born in the hills of Cornaiano, it expresses the strength and purity of a unique terroir, characterised by clayey and gravelly soils of morainic origin. On the nose, it opens with an enchanting vegetal freshness of sage, nettle and tomato leaf, mingled with citrus notes. On the palate, it is vibrant and energetic, with a precious savoury-mineral matrix that enhances its drinkability
The Sauvignon "Brinz" is one of the souls of the Radiz project, an initiative born from the collaboration between the sommeliers of Callmewine and some of the most symbolic wineries of Italian wine, just like Girlan, a renowned reality of Alto Adige. Radiz is a collection of wines, but also a manifesto of authenticity and sustainability. The project is based on three fundamental pillars: "zero rules, low impact, 100% wine", an approach aimed at enhancing the genuineness of the product and respect for the environment. Born from altitude and wind, the name “Brinz” is a homage to the fresh breath of the mountain, to the vibrant green that roots in stone and looks far!
The grapes of the Radiz Sauvignon "Brinz" come from vineyards located between 450 and 550 meters above sea level on the hills of Cornaiano, a unique territory where the clayey and gravelly soils of morainic origin, combined with the proximity of the Eastern Alps, create an ideal microclimate. The grapes are carefully selected and hand-picked to ensure the highest quality. After a short maceration and whole cluster pressing, the must is sent for fermentation in tanks of stainless steel, where it ages on fine lees to extract body and complexity.
To the eye, the Sauvignon Radiz "Brinz" presents itself with a color that anticipates its liveliness: straw yellow with greenish reflections. On the nose, the bouquet is intense and complex, with predominant notes of citrus such as pink grapefruit, accompanied by hints of sage and elderflower that give the wine a fresh and mountain profile. On the palate, the sip is vibrant and elegant, with pronounced sapidity and a freshness that guides the tasting experience towards a persistent and refined finish. This wine pairs perfectly with fish-based dishes, such as a steamed sea bass fillet with aromatic herbs or grilled scampi.
