SAUVIGNON JERMANN 2023 DESCRIPTION

Jermann's Sauvignon is a "climbing" white wine: between one sip and the next, it knows how to win over those who taste it, rising in rhythm, with a cadenced pace, each time better than before. An authentic and didactic expression of the Sauvignon grape, grown on Friulian soil that exudes intense varietal sensations of spearmint, elderflower and green pepper on the nose, supported by a well-balanced sip between freshness and savoriness. The ideal companion to your seafood lunches!

The Sauvignon grapes, which give life to this historic label from the Jermann winery, come from a territory of great exceptionality and qualitative relevance: the Collio. With its soils rich in marls and sandstones typical of the area and with the well-known rocky subsoil, locally called "Ponca," this terroir is able to give natural complexity to the grapes it grows and preserves. Attention to the land, passion and innovation are the key words of this Friulian reality. Manual harvesting of the grapes brings healthy fruit to the winery, which is then vinified in steel tanks, where the wine, following alcoholic fermentation, will mature for 6 months, refining its intrinsic characteristics before being bottled.

Jermann winery's Sauvignon shines a vivid straw yellow colour to the eye. The nose is struck by sensations of citrus, passion fruit, fresh mint and tomato leaf, finishing on a note reminding elderflower. The palate is dry, with a full, elegant, fresh and savory mouthfeel that finishes with pleasantly balsamic references. It can be paired with dishes ranging from fine raw materials, primarily fish such as salmon and halibut, to simple preparations. A wine capable of creating images and stories, which knows how to converse, leaving an indelible memory.
