The Silvaner from Muri - Gries is a fresh and smooth white wine, made from Silvaner, a grape variety widely found in Austria and Alsace that has found its fortune in South Tyrol. Rich and fragrant, on the nose it expresses fruity and citrus notes, accompanied by hints of aromatic herbs, chamomile, hay, and dandelion. Ideal for any meal, pairing well with vegetarian or fish dishes.

Muri-Gries Silvaner is a white wine with a characteristic South Tyrolean tension that invites you to return to the glass again and again. Of German origin, Silvaner, or Sylvaner, is an ancient white grape variety that is particularly widespread today in Germany, Alsace, and indeed South Tyrol, especially in the Isarco Valley. It is a natural cross between Traminer and the lesser Austrian variety Österreichisch-Weiss, which is thought to have arrived in Germany during the 17th century and in South Tyrol about 200 years ago. In general, wines made from Silvaner grapes are characterized by good acidity and structure, as well as delicate aromas reminiscent of wildflowers and aromatic herbs.

The Silvaner Muri-Gries originates from only Silvaner grapes grown on southeast-facing slopes of the municipality of Bolzano, where the altitude is about 500 meters above sea level and the soils consist of sand and gravel. Following the harvest, the bunches are transferred to the winery for soft pressing and alcoholic fermentation of the must in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperaturecontrolled at 19 °C for a week. The subsequent maturation phase, which lasts for several months, also takes place in steel.

The Silvaner Muri-Gries has a straw-yellow color with greenish hues. The aromatic bouquet is defined by pleasant hints of citrus, white-fleshed fruit, chamomile, dry hay, fresh meadow flowers, arnica, and dandelion. Good structure on the palate, where freshness and softness form a balanced combination that rests on persistent fruity and floral sensations consistent with the notes perceived on the nose. A high-quality South Tyrolean white, ideal pairing with seafood dishes and typical local cheeses.
