Trento Spumante Dosaggio Zero Letrari
Dosaggio Zero is a Trento Sparkling Wine, aged for 24 months on the yeasts in the bottle. It is made from two different cuvèe: Chardonnay, that gives structure and creminess and Pinot Nero, that donates elegant and delicacy. The aromas remember the classic aromas of this kind of grapes, like apple and pear, and the notes of yeasts, almond and bread crust
The Trento Spumante Dosaggio Zero by Letrari is a label of great expressive freshness, elegant and refined, which allows one to appreciate directly the extraordinary quality of Trentino sparkling wine production. The cuvée is composed of a majority percentage of Chardonnay and a balance of Pinot Noir, coming from a selection of the estate's vineyards. The mature richness of the fruit allows for the sparkling wine to be offered with a zero dosage, highlighting the vertical dimension of this uncompromising Metodo Classico. Tense and clear perfectly represents the belonging territory.
The Dosaggio Zero is produced by one of the most important names in the Trento Doc denomination. The Letrari winery is located in Rovereto and owns about twenty hectares cultivated mainly in the splendid territory of Vallagarina. An area particularly suited for viticulture due to its morainic soil and a cool, sunny climate, always ventilated thanks to the Ora del Garda, which rises up the Adige valley in the afternoon. At the end of harvest, the best bunches of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir are separately sent for fermentation, which takes place in steel tanks. After a few months of aging, the base wines are blended to create the final cuvée. The second fermentation occurs in the bottle according to the Metodo Classico, with a stay on the lees of at least 24 months.
The Trento Spumante Dosaggio Zero by Letrari is a bottle with a young and essential spirit, a true symbol of the winery's style and more generally of the typical character of sparkling wine from the Trentino area. In the glass, it presents a bright straw-yellow color, crossed by a fine and continuous perlage. The bouquet is elegant and fine, with aromas of white flowers, orange blossom, citrus fragrances, hints of lime, white-fleshed fruit, and nuances of bread crust. On the palate, it is pleasantly salty, with a vibrant attack and delicate fruit, anticipating a dry, very fresh, and mineral finish. It is the perfect label to enjoy at aperitif time or to accompany seafood appetizers.
