SPUMANTE BRUT 'ORIGINE' VALDO DESCRIPTION

The brut sparkling wine "Origine" is produced by the Valdo winery in Valdobbiadene, among the Prealpi Trevigiane, an area particularly famous for high-quality Proseccos. Its history began with a group of entrepreneurs from Valdobbiadene in 1926 who decided to leverage their potential by investing in the foundation of the Società Anonima Vini Superiori. Their precise goal was to enhance the culture and excellence of taste and craftsmanship, driven by humans' passion and tireless work. Initially, the production focused on Valdobbiadene Superiore and Cartizze, but after the Bolla family took over the company, they also embraced other excellences of the territory.

"Origine" is a brut sparkling wine with which Valdo celebrates the second act of an original recipe handed down through generations among the high hills adorned by vineyards. The Glera grapes, particularly suited for sparkling wine, grow on predominantly flat alluvial soils rich in clay and are harvested in September. After undergoing soft pressing and fermentation at a controlled temperature, they undergo 3 months of sparkling in an autoclave, following the Charmat method.

With its brut sparkling wine "Origine," Valdo tells the pride of the past and the passion for the future of the entire Valdobbiadene territory, which the winery itself is named after. Because "a tradition always has an origin," and for this reason, the Bolla family, which acquired the Società Anonima Vini Superiori in the 1930s, decided to expand its commercial objectives, looking towards the foreign market, and changed the name. This pleasant and easy-to-drink sparkling wine presents itself as a flirtatious light straw yellow with greenish reflections and a finely fruity aroma of green apple, crisp pear, and lychees, but also floral notes of wisteria and white rose, with some hints of aromatic herbs, including sage and mint. On the palate, it simultaneously releases all its fruity and floral notes with exceptional persistence, lively, and harmonious.
