Spumante di Passerina Brut Velenosi is a fresh and citrusy white bubble perfect for simple aperitifs or parties with friends. The grapes are carefully selected and after pressing, fermentation begins in steel tanks, after which the wine is re-fermented in autoclaves using the Charmat method. The colour is pale straw yellow with silver highlights, while the aromas are reminiscent of cedar and white flowers. The taste is fresh, agile, mineral, sapid and harmonious

The Spumante di Passerina Brut by Velenosi is a wine originating from the Marche region, particularly from the area of Ascoli Piceno where the vineyards are located. The winery's holdings extend among the hills that frame the valley of the Tronto River. The winery has been family-run since 1984 when the young Angela and Ercole decided to start their business, dedicating themselves to creating a product that could evoke an ancient flavor, but reinterpreted with an eye to the future.

The Passerina grapes of the Spumante Brut by Velenosi promise an abundant production each year, so much so that it is nicknamed the golden grape. The vineyards are situated between 200 and 300 meters above sea level; the climate is sub-Apennine with humid and cool winters tending to abundant snowfall even at low altitudes. The summers are temperate with constant sun exposure. The soil tends to be sandy, ideal for the growth of vines like Passerina. The grape harvest is done manually, and the bunches are placed in large crates. Initially, a brief cryo-maceration and a soft pressing are carried out, to then start fermentation in steel; the base wine undergoes a second fermentation in autoclave with sparkling process.a brief cryo-maceration and a soft pressing, followed by fermentation in steel; the base wine undergoes a second fermentation in autoclave with sparkling production. The production cycle is never less than 90 days to allow for an appropriate resting on the lees.

The Passerina Spumante Brut by Velenosi presents itself in the glass with a golden yellow color with silver reflections and its perlage is fine, yet persistent. The nose is intoxicated by fruity notes of apple, pear, and cedar, but also floral notes like orange and acacia; on the palate, it has a delicate and pleasant persistence, reminiscent of citrus flavors, apples, and loquats. It is an ideal product to accompany tasty and light appetizers based on tempura fish; excellent also with first courses based on seafood. An interesting product to consume on convivial occasions with friends and relatives, in summer in relaxing countryside locations, to appreciate the potential of a territory capable of providing excellent raw materials.
