Artisanal
Organic and biodynamicThe rosé wine "Susucaru" is a blend of different grapes from old vines grown on lava terraces. Fresh, elegant, and with a torrential drinkability, it stands out for a bouquet of crunchy red fruit, mineral puffs, and marine touches. A refreshing squeeze of Etna.
The Susucaru Rosato is the rosé wine by Frank Cornelissen, a craftsman of Belgian origin, who has won the public over with its liveliness and expressive power. It is born among the lava stones on the slopes of Etna from a selection of old vines, almost all grown in the alberello and free-standing style, which have managed to resist the attack of phylloxera.
It is produced from a blend of Malvasia, Moscato Nero, Nerello Mascalese, and Catarratto from the districts of Picciolo, Pietramarina, Calderara soprana, Crasà, Muganazze. The vineyards, exposed on the northern side of the volcano, are cultivated at different altitudes on soils that undergo no chemical treatment, but are left to grow in the wild nature of the place. The winemaking takes place in fiberglass tanks for several months. Cornelissen's philosophy is to allow the bottled wine to retain all its primary aromas, and for this reason, he does not perform filtration and does not use barrique.
lightweight from a great stage that knows how to stand out for its uncontrollable nature. The wine is rustic and represents the direct mirror of the territory where it has grown. The color is already something extraordinary, intense pink tending towards raspberry red. On the nose, delicate and subtle aromas of red berries and vegetal notes meet against a pleasantly rustic backdrop. The minerality is the cornerstone that, with the addition of a pinch of saltiness and freshness, gives rise to a vibrant harmony. While it retains elegance and style, on the other hand, it is recognized for its originality and spontaneity.
