Foradori

This Teroldego is a red wine born in the vineyards of Mezzolombardo, on soils of alluvial origin and rich in gravel and sand. TEROLDEGO FORADORI 2021 DESCRIPTION

Teroldego Foradori is a territorial and emblematic red that authoritatively embodies artisanal winemaking in Trentino. That's right, because if we think of a figure who, more than any other, has managed to give a decisive boost to the world of artisanal wine, we can only think of Elisabetta Foradori, one of the iconic ladies of wine, who has managed to win this status by virtue of a decades-long activity that has seen her embark on a path that began in 1984, with the management of the family vineyards, and that in 2004 led her to opt for a definitive conversion to biodynamics, so as to preserve the vitality of the soil and its fruits. Local varieties are obviously favored, so much so that Teroldego, Nosiola and Incrocio Manzoni reach excellent expressive peaks, while the international varieties previously planted have been abandoned in favor of the former.

Teroldego Foradori is made from a pure expression of the grape variety carrying the same name, with vineyards located in Mezzolombardo, in the Piana Rotaliana. In the vineyard the precepts of biodynamics are followed, so no chemicals are used but only copper, sulfur and other preparations, while in the cellar of course all fermentation takes place spontaneously and in the case of this Teroldego, the liquid ages for 20 months in wooden barrels before bottling.

Teroldego has its typical dark, impenetrable ruby color. Intense and dense to the nose, where the vinous incipit gradually gives way to more defined hints of graphite, berries and earth. Pulpy yet agile and snappy sip, endowed with almost irresistible drinkability. Fruity, slightly salty and with pleasant tannins: a complete and centered wine. An example of how agricultural gestures can rise to creativity.
