The Umbrian white Trebbiano Spoletino "Arneto" is born from a strong and clear message that Tenuta Bellafonte carries: indigenous grape varieties must be rediscovered and enhanced, having the strength not to yield to the easy demands of the market, but instead focusing on the differentiation of the regional ampelographic heritage, a true strength of Italian viticulture. Thus, this Trebbiano Spoletino is treated with the respect it deserves, giving rise to a bottle of personality, fragrant, in which a good dose of freshness ensures the wine's longevity for the next five years.
This Trebbiano Spoletino "Arneto" comes from pure grapes of an indigenous Umbrian variety that has only been rediscovered by various regional producers in the last 10 years, the Trebbiano Spoletino. Tenuta Bellafonte cultivates it in parcels characterized by a subsoil rich in clay and marls, situated at an altitude above sea level between 280 and 320 meters. After a few days of cryomaceration on the skins, the must ferments in large Slavonian oak barrels, also undergoing malolactic fermentation. The The subsequent refinement takes place on the yeasts for a duration of 4 months in wood, and then, after bottling, for another 4 months directly in glass.
The "Arneto" is a Trebbiano Spoletino that develops in the glass with a bright golden color. The bouquet of notes enveloping the nose tells of a concentrated olfactory progression, moving from fruit, including exotic varieties, towards hints of aromatic herbs, spices, and light mineral notes. On the palate, it is medium-bodied, harmonious, characterized by a warm and enveloping taste, from which a vivid mineral trace emerges.
