The Trebbiano Spoletino by Terra di Rovo is an Umbrian white wine that stands out for its aromas of ripe fruit and wildflowers, an authentic expression of this indigenous variety from the Spoleto area. The birth of the production reality Terra di Rovo dates back to 2015, the year when Giulia's desire to return to the countryside where she grew up and to which she is so attached became a reality. The rows extend over just 1.2 hectares and are lovingly cultivated by Giulia together with Alessandra and Roberto, guardians of the vineyard and olive tree. The value that guides the production vision of the estate is respect for biodiversity, with the aim of developing a vineyard-nature microsystem in real health.
Terra di Rovo Trebbiano Spoletino comes from only Trebbiano Spoletino grapes cultivated according to the principles of organic farming on highly mineral soils made up of marine fossils and clay veins, at an altitude of 350 meters above sea level. Following the manual harvest in crates, associated with a careful selection of the bunches, the white winemaking through spontaneous alcoholic fermentation of the must in stainless steel tanks. The subsequent maturation process of one year takes place in steel tanks and is followed by an additional 18 months of aging in the bottle. Throughout the entire processing, the wine undergoes no clarification or filtration operations and no sulfites are added.
The Trebbiano Spoletino Terra di Rovo has a straw yellow color with golden reflections. The aromatic spectrum is articulated on aromas of yellow-fleshed fruit, citrus, wildflowers, tropical fruit, white pepper, almond blossom, and aromatic herbs. Complex, straightforward, and full-bodied on the palate, with a fresh and juicy progression that rests on a savory finish.
