Trento Spumante Nature Balter
Balter's Brut Nature is a Trento sparkling wine of great tension and elegance that is aged for 48 months on the lees. The nose recalls aromas of bread crust, custard, sweet spices and pleasant mineral sensations. The sip is soft and creamy, of great refinement and finesse, with an elegant bubble.
The Trento Nature Sparkling Wine from the family-run estate Balter is a bubbly that stands out for its fragrant and balanced character, a true testament to the style of the winery. The Balter family, led by Nicola Balter, operates in the Rovereto area, located south of Trento towards Lake Garda, where it has established itself since 1990 for the high quality of its Metodo Classico sparkling wines. In fact, the bond between the Balter family and the territory has its roots in 1872, when the ancestor Francesco purchased an ancient castle dating back to the 16th century complete with a tower, which today features in the estate's logo. However, until 1990, the year of construction of the modern underground winery, the grape production was delivered to the local cellars.
Balter Trento Spumante Nature is made exclusively from Chardonnay grapes resulting from careful selection. Following the harvest, the bunches are immediately transferred to the winery and vinified in white through soft pressing and alcoholic fermentation for 35% of the mass in barrique and for the remaining 65% in stainless steel tanks, with complete malolactic fermentation.stainless steel, with complete malolactic fermentation. After a short maturation period, the sparkling base is bottled with the addition of tirage syrup for refermentation according to the Metodo Classico, followed by 48 months of aging sur lie in glass. The wine is finally subjected to the disgorging operation and subsequent topping up without the addition of sugar.
The Trento Spumante Nature Balter has a golden yellow color with very fine and persistent effervescence. The olfactory profile is a blend of citrus sensations, saline hints, and fragrant notes of bread crust, cream, and dry pastries. A dynamic, soft, and creamy sip, characterized by pronounced freshness and pleasant savoriness.
