Tony Bornard’s Trousseau "Le Garde Corps" is a red from the Jura area, a whimsical wine like its producer. Tony is the son of art, an artisan producer who experiments with ingenuity in the village of Pupillin, near Arbois. The Jura is not just a wine with a strong taste of vin jaune and this wine shows it very well: the nose is marked by red and black fruits, violets and intense notes of orange peel. On the palate it is 'funky', robust, of great warmth and has a mineral vein that remains throughout the sip. Exceptional with stews or excellent alpine cheeses

The Trousseau "Le Garde Corps" by Tony Bornard originates in Jura, precisely in the small village of Pupillin. The winery is managed by Tony Bornard, who inherited from his father Philippe the passion and love for the world of viticulture: he has made some important changes to the winemaking techniques and decided to enhance the territory and its intrinsic characteristics for authentic wines. An important choice was to adopt an organic regime for the cultivation of the plants, to which biodynamic practices have recently been added.

The vineyards of the Trousseau "Le Garde Corps" by Tony Bornard extend over about 11 hectares, whose soil is mainly composed of schist, gray, blue, and red marl for wines with a strong and elegant character. The climate is semi-continental, influenced by the presence of the mountains that ensure a significant temperature range for optimal grape ripening, accompanied by rains and low temperatures during winter. The harvest is manual, and in the winery, indigenous yeasts work triggering alcoholic fermentation. It ages for 15 months in wood.

To the eye, the Trousseau "Le Garde Corps" by Tony Bornard presents a ruby red color with subtle reflections. The bouquet of aromas recalls cherry, black berry fruits like blackberries and black currants, and in the finish, pleasant citrus notes; on the palate, it is characterful and warm with a fresh final persistence for a delightful drink. It is recommended to pair with dishes based on cuts of red meat typical of French tradition, game, and stewed white meats; excellent also with aged cheeses. A genuine product, an ambassador of the potential of its territory of origin, ideal for barbecues with lifelong friends.
