The taste is overwhelming, the tannic texture is accompanied by a freshness that makes the finish balanced.
The Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi “Arnaldo” from the Marche winery Santa Barbara is a limited and numbered label, which offers a particular version of the classic white wine of the area. It is a wine made using a process that involves skin maceration, inspired by the oldest and most traditional winemaking methods. The result is a wine with a particularly intense and rich character, with complex and persistent aromas that enhance the natural aromatic density and the important structure of the famous Marche grape variety. It is a new face of Verdicchio, dedicated by Stefano Antonucci to the memory of his father.
“Arnaldo” is a version of Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi that enriches the range of wines from the Santa Barbara winery, one of the most interesting interpreters of the great Marche grape variety. The Verdicchio grapes come from some parcels of the estate cultivated under certified organic farming at an altitude of about 260 meters above sea level, on clay soils. At the end of the harvest, the best bunchesare destemmed and the grapes are made to macerate on the skins until the end of the fermentation phase, which takes place in stainless steel tanks, using only indigenous yeasts. After a few months of aging in steel tanks, the wine is bottled without any filtration, in order to maintain its natural expressive integrity and its organoleptic completeness.
The white Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi “Arnaldo” from Santa Barbara is an important wine, with a gastronomic vocation, particularly suitable for pairing with white meats, flavorful baked fish, or medium-aged cheeses. In the glass, it presents a beautiful bright golden yellow color with brilliant reflections and delicate coppery hues. The olfactory profile impresses with its particular complexity and intensity. It expresses notes of soft spices, herbal hints, balsamic nuances, aromas of ripe yellow-fleshed fruit, and sensations of tropical fruit. On the palate, it has good structure, harmonious with rich and dense aromas, which extend towards a fresh and verypersistent, characterized by a slight tannic roughness.
