The Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi Classico Riserva “Cantico della Figura” is a long-lived product, with personality, that has an interesting evolutionary path ahead of it. A peculiarity of the Andrea Felici winery is indeed to create wines that can withstand the test of time excellently, so this “Cantico della Figura” is already perfect to drink now, but can also be tasted without problems in 5 years. A deep label, with an expressive sip, where refinement and class dominate both on the nose and on the palate.
The “Cantico della Figura” by Andrea Felici is made from pure grapes of the symbol vine of the Marche, the Verdicchio. The vines of this variety grow in the San Francesco vineyard, located in the Apiro area, and have an average age of about 50 years. Here, at 500 meters above sea level, the soil is characterized by a calcareous and clayey subsoil, and the work between the rows follows organic farming practices. The must obtained from pressing the grapes ferments in steel containers for two weeks, briefly macerating on the skins. This is followed by aging, which initially takes place for 12 months on the lees in cement tanks and then, after bottling, continues for another 24 months in glass.
The Verdicchio Riserva “Cantico della Figura” produced by the Andrea Felici winery presents itself with a bright and luminous golden yellow color. The range of aromas that characterizes the nose moves on concentrated and layered sensations, where fruit, flowers, and aromatic herbs alternate elegantly. On the palate, it has an excellent structure, with personality and character, which relies on a very abundant mineral sip, where the fresh component has a nice impact on the smoothness of the drink. It ends with a finish of excellent persistence. A bottle that comes from a careful selection of grapes made by the winery and represents the flagship of the entire production.
