The Verdicchio from the Castelli di Jesi "Back to Basic" by Santa Barbara is a typical white wine from the Marche region that stands out for its particularly intense and generous aromatic profile, featuring yellow peach, fresh almond, chamomile, and aromatic herbs, with underlying maceration notes. The sip is tinged with fresh and mineral streaks, agile and enjoyable, soft and with a smoky finish.

The Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi "Back to Basic" by Santa Barbara is a "return to the essential", as evidenced by the name given by Stefano Antonucci, the owner of the winery, to this label. Indeed, it starts from a respectful production approach, which sees the Verdicchio grapes born from a careful and detailed organic processing, allowing the varietal to express itself with genuineness and straightforwardness, also thanks to the processing carried out exclusively in steel. A dynamic and straightforward bottle, which is appreciated from the very first moments that guide the tasting.

The "Back to Basic" is a Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi that the Santa Barbara winery produces starting from Verdicchio vines cultivated in parcels located 260 meters above sea level. The exposure is northwest, and the terroir is characterized by a subsoil mainly composed of clays. Among the rows, the grapes are processed with criteria that refer to organic practices. Fermentation occurs spontaneously in steel, thanks to the presence of indigenous yeasts.indigenous, with a skin maceration that lasts for 6 days. Without any filtration, the wine is then transferred to steel tanks, where it remains to mature on the fine lees for a year.

The Verdicchio "Back to Basic" Santa Barbara presents itself visually with a crystalline golden color. Flowers and ripe yellow-fleshed fruit alternate on the nose, with a dance of fragrant sensations in which aromatic herbs also participate at the finish. On the palate, it has a medium structure, with a beautiful balance in the mouth between freshness and savory component; the sip is enveloping and the finish presents a slightly smoky taste. An extremely versatile label at the table, which pairs well with both first courses dressed with vegetable sauces and with fish appetizers.
