Organic and biodynamicThe Vermentino "Melacce" is an everyday white wine with territorial hints and mineral and marine nuances. Its aromas are fresh and immediate, of peach and white fruit. On the palate, it is soft, tense, dynamic, and balanced.
The Vermentino "Melacce" takes its name from the river that rises on Mount Aquilaia and crosses much of the municipality of Cinigiano, where the ColleMassari winery is located. It is a refreshing and aromatic white wine, from which delicate notes of Granny Smith apple emerge on the nose, while on the palate a pleasant savory imprint is felt, with a dry aftertaste of great precision. The perfect label to quench thirst during the hottest days, both at aperitif time and throughout the meal. Excellent scores obtained nationally and internationally, which, given the final price, make this bottle a real bargain.
This "Melacce" ColleMassari is a Vermentino that comes from young vineyards, located about 300 meters above sea level and managed following organic farming practices. The terroir is multifaceted, alternating layers of sandstone with more clayey and calcareous soils, iron-rich lands, and gravel deposits. After manual harvesting, the bunches are destemmed, and the grapes are sent to the pressing phase. The must ferments in stainless steel containers at low temperatures, and the wine then remains in steel to age for 5 months, until it is bottled and marketed, after an additional maturation in glass of 2 months.
The white wine Vermentino "Melacce" produced by the ColleMassari winery presents itself in the glass with a typically straw-yellow color. The nose is filled with pure and crisp aromas, where notes of white and yellow fleshed fruit are recognized, enriched by nuances that in the finish refer to more mineral sensations. On the palate, it is light-bodied, lean, and sprightly, with a tense and dynamic sip, dominated by a pleasant fresh component, from which a savory and citrusy taste emerges. The perfect bottle to reserve for beach aperitifs and summer dinners based on fish.
