The Vetere di San Salvatore is a rosé wine made from pure Aglianico grapes, coming from the municipality of Paestum, in Cilento. It ages for 6 months in steel tanks and presents itself with a bright rosé color, expressing delicate aromas of fresh fruit and briny notes of iodine and sea

The “Vetere” from the Campanian winery San Salvatore is a rosé with a very delicate and subtle profile, made by vinifying Aglianico in purity. The great native grape variety of Campania, in addition to producing intense and long-lived reds, thanks to its elegance, is also capable of producing rosé wines with great personality. Its fruity aromas and vibrant freshness are essential elements for creating great rosés. The very delicate vinification allows for the extraction of elegant and refined aromas. It is a label to be enjoyed with seafood appetizers, particularly with shellfish or with fish stews in tomato sauce.

The Rosato “Vetere” from the San Salvatore winery is a wine that synthesizes very well the fortunate meeting between Aglianico and the territory of Cilento. It is, in fact, a Rosé with a marine breath, with characteristics that enhance the finesse of the grape and the Mediterranean character of the wonderful production area. It is a wine that is born in the shade of the Temples of Paestum from vineyards cultivated on medium-textured soils, predominantly composed of limestone and clays. The grapes undergo a low-temperature maceration for six hours and are then gently pressed with a brief contact with the skins to extract only a minimum of color and aromas. The must is vinified in white in temperature-controlled steel tanks, and the wine always ages in steel for 6 months before bottling.

The Rosé “Vetere” from the San Salvatore winery is a modern and very current interpretation of this fascinating type, which is gaining more and more admirers among wine enthusiasts. Thanks also to bottles like this, which outline an essential, elegant, and very pleasant profile. Following the most widespread trend in the Rosé landscape, it presents with a very pale pink color, with aromas reminiscent of citrus, pomegranate, raspberry, red currant, aromatic herbs, accompanied by floral and iodized nuances. The sip is savory and citrusy, with a finish characterized by clear mineral freshness. A rosé that has no nothing to envy to much more famous French bottles.
