The Viognier from Belvento belongs to the line of Sea Wines from the Petra winery. It is made from fresh and fragrant grapes that come from the clay and sandy soils of Maremma Toscana, just a few kilometers from the sea. It has a typically savory and fruity profile, with a crisp and juicy body, wrapped in notes of citrus, white fruit, and floral essences.

The Viognier Belvento is a label that wonderfully synthesizes the fortunate union between the terroir of the Tuscan coast and a famous French grape variety, native to the Rhône Valley. In the Mediterranean, sunny, and marine climate of the Tuscan Maremma, the Viognier expresses itself with a profile pleasantly fruity and saline. The intense and rich aromas, typical of the varietal character of the grape, are enriched with hints of Mediterranean scrub and iodine memories, which give the wine a refined expressive elegance.

The Viognier wine, made by Belvento, originates from the Tuscan estate owned by the Moretti family, famous for the Franciacorta winery Bellavista. The Viognier vineyards have an average age of about twelve years and are planted in a hilly area, in a context dominated by the spontaneous vegetation of the Mediterranean scrub, on clayey-sandy soils, with the presence of limestone. The place is particularly favorable for viticulture, thanks to a mild, typically Mediterranean climate, characterized by the influence of the breezes from the Tyrrhenian Sea.Tirreno.  The grapes are hand-picked at full ripeness and after a selection of the best bunches made in the winery, a soft pressing follows. The free-run must ferments in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks, with classic white winemaking. Before bottling, the wine matures for several months in steel tanks.

The white Viognier, produced by the Belvento brand of the Petra winery, is a bottle with a pleasantly fruity and smooth character. It is a perfect label to enjoy during an aperitif or to pair with seafood appetizers or a delicate fish menu. In the glass, it has a light straw-yellow color, bright and luminous. The aromatic profile is elegant and multifaceted, with floral scents, hints of aromatic herbs, sage, rosemary, citrus fragrances, cedar zest, aromas of cartucciaro melon, white peach, and delicate notes of tropical fruit. The sip is rich and soft, with a ripe and juicy fruit, well balanced by a fresh and savory finish.
