Amazzoni

Amazzoni is a brand of Gin produced by a Brazilian distillery, specialized solely in the production of London Dry. The company is located within an ancient 18th-century coffee plantation, rich in charm and history, situated in the Paraiba Valley, in the State of Rio de Janeiro. It is the largest and most important craft distillery in South America, known internationally for the excellent quality of its Gin, characterized by a typically territorial profile. The chosen name is not casual and aims to highlight the deep connection with the Amazon rainforest, the true green heart of Brazil, and with its oldest traditions in the knowledge of herbs and wild plants.

Gin is a distillate that has over 400 years of history and has been interpreted in many ways, starting from the classic models of Dutch and English tradition. Amazzoni stands out from the rest of the world production precisely for its particular nature. It is a Premium Gin that directly expresses the character of the the production site and the wild charm of the Amazon. Not only is it produced in Brazil, but it also expresses the typical scents and aromas of this land, through a careful selection of original botanicals. In addition to classic ingredients, such as juniper berries, pink pepper, bay leaf, lemon, mandarin, and coriander, there are also five botanicals that come directly from the rich and lush biodiversity of the Amazon rainforest: cacao, Brazilian chestnut, maxixe, water lily, and clove onion, which give particular and unique nuances to the taste of the distillate.

The preparation follows the best customs of tradition, with infusion of botanicals in purest grain alcohol and long macerations, in order to extract all the precious aromas. The distillation takes place in a large traditional copper still, made specifically in Brazil, which guarantees extraordinary expressive finesse. Before bottling, the alcohol content is lowered by diluting the distillate with light and crystal-clear water from uncontaminated springs of the Amazon. Thus is born a true specialty, the daughter of ancient knowledge in the botanical field and of a traditional production process carried out following the best rules of great Gins.
