Balmenach
Balmenach is a distillery located in the Scottish Highlands, at the center of a very important national park, that of Cairgorm. It is a production reality whose roots date back to the first half of the nineteenth century, more precisely to 1824, the year James MacGregor founded it. Many years have passed since then, and the distillery has gone through ups and downs, changing hands between more visionary and more reckless owners, until today, when at the helm of Balmenach we find Inver House Distillers Limited, a prestigious company that also owns other "spirits" producers.
Balmenach has always been characterized by the use, throughout the entire production process, of raw materials of absolute quality. Only through careful selection is it indeed possible to give rise to prestigious labels that can stand out in a market that, due to the ever-increasing globalization, tends to standardize flavors and tastes. The best grains are carefully chosen by the distillery team, and the water used during the production process comes from pure and crystalline sources, located on the Cromdale hills, not far from where Balmenach is based. The distillation process follows highly artisanal techniques, which, at the end of the processing, lead to bottles of undoubted quality, capable of telling the magic of the Highlands landscape.
Within the walls of Balmenach, various labels are born, always characterized by expressive and incisive sips, where the harmony of the drink is the result of the care taken in every single detail, from the search for the best raw materials to bottling. Among the various products in the range, a particular mention should be reserved for the Gin "Caorunn", born from the mind of one of Balmenach's distillers, Simon Buley. A distillate that originates from the infusion of five "botanicals" typical of Celtic tradition, leading to a fresh and dry sip, enriched with varied aromas on the nose. A gem absolutely to try, since it is produced only with a few bottles, to maintain a constant high quality level.
