Birrificio Sagrin
Birrificio Sagrin is a young reality that has recently emerged in the vibrant and creative landscape of Italian craft beer. In a short time, it has managed to stand out and carve out a leading role, thanks to a range of labels that have won the palate of the most demanding and attentive enthusiasts. As often happens in this sector, the project was born from the passion of two friends who decided to transform a personal interest and an occasional homebrewing activity into a real business.
The brewery is located in Calamandrana, in the beautiful area of Astigiano. The protagonists of this story are Giuseppe Luci, who has always combined his work as a breeder of Abruzzese shepherds with an interest in the brewing world, and Matteo Billia, the master brewer, who meticulously controls the entire production process, from the selection of raw materials to fermentation, up to the final bottling. In 2015, the idea finally took shape thanks to a plant designed by the two partners tailored to their needs.needs. The basic philosophy is oriented towards the production of high-quality craft beers, also inspired by the centuries-old wine tradition of this Piedmontese territory.
Birrificio Sagrin positions itself as a synthesis between the culture of Northern European beer and the customs of a land that has always been linked to viticulture and wine production. At the base of the project is a deep knowledge, not only of brewing production processes but also of the main international beer models, combined with a DNA indissolubly linked to the world of wine. From the fusion of two worlds, a brewery has been born with three distinct lines of labels, representing its three different and complementary souls. The Classic beers, which faithfully reproduce the style of the most well-known and famous beers; the beers of the Bunpat line, which meet the expectations of consumers looking for freshness, immediate drinkability, and low alcohol content; and finally the IGA beers, Italian Grape Ale, made with the collaboration of local wineries, adding to the ingredients of traditional recipes also grapes, must, or wine.traditional recipes also grapes, must, or wine. A way to give the beer a precise connotation linked to a place and its typical products.
