Bosco Samuele

The Samuele Bosco winery was born in the heart of Roero, in the small village of Priocca. It is a reality that appears young only at first glance, as it has roots in mature vineyards, some over fifty years old, cultivated on sandy and clay soils that represent one of the most recognizable souls of the area. From the very beginning, Samuele chooses to engage with identity grape varieties such as Arneis, Barbera, and Nebbiolo, not to replicate a codified style, but to reinterpret production through a contemporary and artisanal sensitivity. The winery was born as a personal response to the standards of Roero, with the aim of producing characterful wines that speak of the place without rhetorical filters. The production dimension remains deliberately contained, as each bottle is conceived as an irreplaceable expression of a vintage and a precise natural balance.

Samuele Bosco's approach in the vineyard is low-impact, based on minimally invasive mechanical and manual practices and a strong focus on biodiversity. No herbicides or systemic products are used, and the harvest is conducted respecting the ripening times of the grapes, the the work in the winery follows the same philosophy of coherence and measure. The vinifications combine traditional techniques, such as prolonged macerations and submerged cap, with the use of modern equipment, avoiding corrective interventions. The winery works by subtraction, favoring concrete, steel, and large barrels as tools of precision rather than masking. The result is a clean, artisanal process that aims to preserve the integrity of the fruit and the territory.

The wines of Samuele Bosco stand out for their sincere and readable profile, far from excessive extraction or stylistic forcedness. The whites show tension, precision, and a well-defined mineral component, while the reds move on balances of freshness, structure, and depth, supported by great freshness and measured tannins. They are wines that do not seek immediacy, but neither the austerity for its own sake. They are capable of telling their story naturally even in youth and evolving coherently over time. Each label conveys an essential and concrete idea of Roero, with a limited production by choice, the consequence natural consequence of an artisanal journey that aims to convey all the spirit of the producer in the bottle.
