Breccia

Breccia Winery is a young winemaking reality born in the Piana Rotaliana and founded by Omar Pancher, a third-generation winemaker raised among the vineyards of Mezzocorona. The winery takes its name from the characteristic breccia soils that define the soils of the Piana and mark its winemaking landscape. The winery has chosen to remain rooted in the local reality while looking at the quality and personality of its wines as tools to tell the story of the Trentino territory. Breccia's vision is a balance between respect for the winemaking tradition of the Valle dell’Adige and the desire to experiment, with the aim of interpreting indigenous and international varieties authentically.

Breccia's production philosophy is based on a direct relationship with the vineyard and the soils that surround it, reflecting a artisanal care that starts from the daily gesture in the field. In these vineyards, located between 200 and 600 meters above sea level, grape varieties such as Teroldego, Lagrein, and Chardonnay find ideal conditions thanks to the combination of exposure, alpine microclimate, and mineral-rich soils. The harvest is carried out by hand and the bunches are harvested at the right degree of ripeness to preserve freshness and varietal identity.

In the winery, Breccia favors winemaking techniques that respect the natural expressiveness of the grapes. For some references, the winery works with indigenous yeasts and aging on fine lees to enrich the taste profile, while for white wines and sparkling wines, fermentation and aging in wood or bottle allow for complexity, harmonizing freshness and structure. This attention to production details is an integral part of Breccia's approach, which aims to connect wine and people, bringing to the bottle the vision of a territory and the story of those who cultivate it.
