Broccanera

Giorgio Santini is a skilled restaurateur and the owner of the Broccanera winery. In 2012, driven by his passion for the Metodo Classico, he decided to become a winemaker and build a modern winery within the family vineyards located at the foot of the hills of Arcevia. Giorgio's idea was and is clear: to combine sustainability with technique and modernity with tradition to obtain wines with a unique character and a personal stylistic imprint. In fact, Giorgio explains how love for nature, for the territory, and for hospitality are the founding principles and values with which the winery identifies itself. Through wine, he wants to tell the fascinating and rich land of the Marche and more precisely that "peasant" nature that is found immersed between the natural reserve of Monte San Vicino, the Conero Park, the Frasassi Caves, and the beaches of Senigallia. During the construction phases of the new winery, the remains of an ancient black jug were found which, like a divine sign, has become the symbol and logo of the reality of Giorgio.

Broccanera owns 3.5 hectares of property that line the entire estate. The few hectares, cultivated in certified organic farming, are located at about 350-400 meters above sea level with a northeast exposure on a very rich subsoil, composed of clays and sands. The ventilation, the fresh hills, and the bright sun create a unique terroir, ideal for the full ripening of the grapes. Verdicchio, alongside Syrah and Merlot, reigns supreme and is also the variety that most symbolizes the winery. It presents itself in different forms and styles, from the classic white to unusual sparkling forms.

The wines of Broccanera are the fusion of the elements of the sea, the sky, and the mountains of this wonderful corner of the peripheral area of the Castles. They speak the Marche language with great simplicity and reflect the typical profile of the varietal, presenting a dry, taut, and lively structure, endowed with a vibrant and slightly marine freshness. Honest expressions, rich in flavor and with an elegant and refined texture, that know how to transport us in every sip to their land of origin, far from industrial standardizations.
