Bulleit

Bulleit is a legendary and fascinating name in American whiskey. Its origins date back a long way: in the early 1800s, the owner of a bar in Kentucky, August Bulleit, began distilling in small batches, achieving great success. Leveraging his knowledge in brandy production, acquired through his French heritage, August was able to produce a quality Bourbon from a secret recipe. In 1860, during a trip to New Orleans, August mysteriously disappeared along with the barrels of whiskey he was transporting.

The Bulleit Distilling Company was founded in Louisville, Kentucky, in 1987, when Thomas E. Bulleit Junior, August's grandson, captivated by the story of his great-grandfather, left a brilliant career as a lawyer to pursue his dream: to revive, after more than 100 years, the great Whiskey Bourbon of his ancestor.

Bulleit's Bourbon is made from a grain mix with a high percentage of rye (30%) and aged for at least 6 years in heavily charred American white oak barrels.charred. The bottles evoke, in shape, the old containers of syrups and medicines used in the 1800s and are inspired by the myth of frontier conquest. In recent years, alongside the Bourbon, a version of Whiskey Rye has also been created, which is made solely from rye. This is whiskey with a unique and complex flavor that gives body and substance to the rich imagery of the American frontier and the incredible adventures between cowboys and Native Americans: great whiskeys that make us dream of America.
