Ca' del Baio

The Ca' del Baio winery is located in Treiso, in the province of Cuneo, in the heart of the Langhe Albesi. It was founded back in 1880, but the credit for its recent success goes to Giulio Grasso, the generations that immediately preceded him, and the one that is following him, formed by his daughters Paola, Valentina, and Federica, who are already ready to follow in their father's footsteps in the vineyard and in the winery.

The production philosophy, which aims for perfect harmony with their territory, is summarized in Giulio's words: "Wine is made in the vineyard, where the typicity of the grape variety is preserved, old clones are cared for, and work is done with passion and experience, day after day, season after season". Farmer's care, excellent exposures, a single weeding in spring, simplicity, no tricks or shortcuts, and a lot of common sense are the main ingredients of Ca' del Baio, the recipe for producing typical and territorial wines capable of standing out, for their beautiful naturalness, in such a crowded and competitive panorama as that of Barbaresco.

extend over 25 hectares, distributed in the territories of Treiso and Barbaresco. The Nebbiolo vineyards of Barbaresco are also divided into the 4 crus of Valgrande, Marcarini, Asili, and Pora. Here, thanks also to the important consultancy of Giuseppe Caviola, qualitatively magnificent wines are born, which reflect the territory of origin and the fruit from which they come. These are wines of character and personality, with an unmistakable style, well balanced between strength and elegance.
