Casè
Casè is an artisanal reality that produces authentic, healthy, and genuine wines in the magnificent hilly area of Val Trebbia. The estate was founded in 1998 by Alberto Anguissola, a great enthusiast of viticulture, who realized his dream by planting the first vines between 1998 and 2000, after a careful analysis of the zoning of the soils and the local microclimate. From these preliminary investigations, it became clear that the area would be particularly suitable for the cultivation especially of white grape varieties and Pinot Nero, the noble Burgundy grape that, to express itself at high qualitative levels, prefers cool climates and mild temperatures, not too hot.
In 2011, Alberto decided to dedicate himself full-time to the vineyard, transforming his passion into a true profession, with the help of Diego Ragazzi, a convinced advocate of the value of terroir. From the very first vintages, Casè distinguished itself in the panorama of Italian production for its absolute pursuit of purity and for the desire to create wines far from the standard international taste, recovering the value of the territory and the individual vintage. From a geological point of view, the Val Trebbia area was generated by the collision of the European plate with the Adriatic plate, which began to approach about 100 million years ago, filling the Ligurian-Piedmont basin, and leading to the collision that resulted in the formation of the Apennine chain. The ancient oceanic origin of these lands is still evidenced by the presence of numerous marine fossil remains in the rocks of the area.

The vineyards are located at an altitude of about 600 meters above sea level, on limestone-clay soils, very rich in mineral elements. The philosophy that has always animated both the work in the vineyard and that in the cellar is aimed at safeguarding the varietal character of the grapes through healthy cultivation and vinifications carried out with minimal intervention.oenological. Hence arises the rejection of all practices related to the production of industrial wines, which can be produced in any area of the world and have lost the connection with the terroir. The wines of Casè reaffirm the necessity that wine be a direct expression of a land and retain traces of its origin in the glass.
