Château Figeac

Chateau Figeac represents a prestigious Bordeaux wine estate that has contributed to writing the history of Saint-Émilion, a renowned wine-growing area located on the right bank of the Dordogne River. Although the origins of the estate date back to Ancient Rome, Chateau Figeac was officially founded in 1892 when the property was purchased by Henri de Chevremont. Starting in 1947, under the management of Thierry Manoncourt, an agricultural engineer and descendant of Henri, the winery established itself in the Olympus of the Saint-Émilion designation. Along with Chateau Pavie, Chateau Figeac is part of the Premier Grand Cru Classé 'A' list, the highest quality level established by the Saint-Émilion wine classification, first drawn up in 1955 and updated approximately every 10 years, unlike the famous Bordeaux wine classification of 1855 which has remained largely unchanged.

The 41 hectares of vineyards owned by Chateau Figeac are bordered by centuries-old oak and hawthorn trees that form the basis of the the iconic Château Figeac St. Émilion, the winery produces a second wine: the Petit-Figeac, more accessible than the “big brother”.
