Duband David

In the heart of the Côte de Nuits shines the winery of David Duband. A Domaine that is considered among the most representative of Burgundy, thanks especially to the history that binds the Duband family to these lands. It all began in 1965 when the estate was led by his father Pierre, who delivered the grapes from his 15 hectares of vineyards to the cooperatives of Beaune. The story changes in '91 when David, the son, decides to start his own production, first renting one and a half hectares, and then inheriting his father's estate in '95. Just a few years later David meets François Feuillet, a Parisian passionate about Burgundy, who decides to purchase half of the Domaine's assets. An important year was also 2006 when the estate expanded and acquired 7 hectares from Domaine Truchot including Grand Cru such as Clos de la Roche, Charmes-Chambertin, Chambolle-Musigny Les Santiers and other 1er cru like Morey-St Denis, Clos Sorbé, Les Sentiers and Les Combottes. It doesn't end there because in 2009 two more prestigious Grand Cru are added: Chambertin and Latricières-Chambertin.

prestigious Grand Cru: Chambertin and Latricières-Chambertin.

Therefore, Domaine David Duband delivers half of the grapes to François Feuillet who markets his wines under his own label. Thus, his production is around 85,000 bottles, produced for three quarters from Pinot Nero grapes. The modern winery is located in Chevannes and boasts 23 denominations among Grand Cru, Premier Cru, and Village that reflect the production areas and David's character.

Until 2008, Duband David wines were defined as examples of “modern,” as they were dense, intense, and primarily linked to aging in wood that aimed to smooth the edges and overshadow the essence of the fruit. The change of direction occurs when the vigneron decides to follow the biological principles, adopting a more accurate and sensitive method. Today he produces more calibrated, authentic, and expressive bottles, under the banner of purity and originality. Reds characterized by a primarily mineral structure that speak of terroir and reflect all the

shades of the individual parcels.
