Di Prisco winery was born in 1995 by the stubborn determination of Pasqualino Di Prisco, who inherited the farm from his father and grandfather, farmers in Fontanarossa, in the province of Avellino.

Driven by the desire to re-evaluate indigenous varieties little known outside from Irpinia, such as the Greco di Tufo, Aglianico, Fiano and Coda di Volpe, Pasqualino builds in Contrada Rotole the winery, renovating a building that was once used as barn and cellar, providing it with all the most modern equipment for winemaking, and begins producing wine.

At the beginning, he marks almost to grapes bought from other growers, grapes he selects carefully, but at the same time search land to plant new vines, selecting them with extreme care and patient; all the vineyards of the company are located around 600 meters above sea level to take advantage of the cool climate of Irpinia.

The wines of the winery have received many awards and accolades over the years, due to the perseverance and enthusiasm of Pasqualino in seeking the high quality and authenticity in his products.
