Domaine de Loye is a winery in the Loire Valley dedicated to viticulture in Menetou-Salon, a region with an ancient winemaking tradition located approximately 30 kilometers southwest of Sancerre. Indeed, as several texts attest, viticulture in the area has been practiced since at least the 11th century, while other texts report that the wines of Menetou-Salon were among the most appreciated on the table of the Grand Argentier Jacques-Coeur, Lord of Menetou during the 15th century. The Moindrot family has perpetuated this tradition for several generations, with the official founding of Domaine de Loye credited to Jean-Bernard Moindrot, who established the estate in 1970 after taking care of his grandfather's vineyards, a miller by profession. Today, the reins of the winery are in the hands of Valentin Moindrot, son of Jean-Bernard, who has further enhanced the quality of production.

Domaine de Loye has 15 hectares at its disposal, dedicated to Sauvignon Blanc vines, covering 11 hectares, and Pinot Noir, occupying the remaining 4 hectares. The rows are planted on well-exposed hills consisting of clayey and limestone soils, while agronomic management follows the motto "a healthy vine ensures a quality wine." According to this vision, inter-row vegetation is practiced, applied both to prevent soil erosion and to limit the vigor of the vines, which will thus be encouraged to produce less in quantity but better in quality. For vinification and aging on fine lees, exclusively stainless steel containers are used to enhance the aromatic heritage of the grape varieties and their pronounced acidity.

Domaine de Loye produces three labels: a white wine from Sauvignon Blanc grapes and a red and a rosé from Pinot Noir grapes, all marketed under the Menetou-Salon appellation. Common traits of each wine are their pronounced freshness and minerality, as well as intriguing fragrances, typical characteristics of Menetou-Salon wines.
