Domaine Verret

Domaine Verret represents a faithful and high-quality Burgundy territorial reality that has its roots in the centuries-old tradition of vignerons, the leading figures of the artisanal wine region par excellence. Here in Burgundy, winemaking began in Roman times and has been maintained and passed down by the Cistercian monks, present in the area since medieval times. A zone as vocated as it is complex, where in 1956, while most vignerons sold barrels containing their wine, Georges and Josiane Verret decided to increase the value of their production by independently bottling their Pinot Noir and Chardonnay.

The name Domaine Verret thus began to spread and is now recognized, thanks to its fine expressions of Burgundy terroir, especially today, under the careful and dedicated guidance of Bruno Verret, who, with the help of a selected team of winemakers, has added to the classic line a fresh and elegant Cremant de Bourgogne, made using the classic method. The his educational journey, however, begins in another prestigious French wine region: thanks to various work experiences at some Chateaux in Bordeaux, Bruno manages to discover the multifaceted sensory complexity of the products he deals with, and refines his technique passing through Cognac, Savoie, and Australia.

At Domaine Verret, the terroir takes on a particularly deep meaning, given by the precise factors that determine it, such as the soil, complex and diversified based on the geological era that originated it: Kimmeridgian, Oxfordian, and Portlandian are indeed the three geological formations that give the domaine rich and varied soils of nutrients for the vines. Rich interpretations of minerality from Bruno Verret characterize the labels with a fascinating saline, elegant, and complex component.
