East London Liquor Company

The East London Liquor Company is a British reality specialized in the production of spirits, particularly gin, vodka, and whisky, characterized by a vibrant and fragrant style. This brand based in London was founded in 2012 by Alex Wolport, a spirits expert who before starting his own personal project worked at the Hoxton and Angel distilleries, gaining experience and refining his knowledge of this fascinating world. The headquarters of the East London Liquor Company corresponds to an old glue factory in the Bow Wharf area of East London. Here, Alex Wolport embraces a production vision aimed at offering high-quality spirits at affordable prices, “because everyone deserves a decent drink.”

The distillates of the East London Liquor Company originate from a careful selection of various ingredients. In particular, among the botanicals used for gin production are lavender, Douglas fir needles, sweet orange peel, coriander seeds, angelica root, fennel seeds, the rootof licorice, lemon and pink grapefruit peel, Java peppercorns, cardamom, and the inevitable juniper berries. Instead, in the processing of vodka, 100% English origin wheat is used, while the whiskies are made from pure rye or barley malt and are aged in a combination of regenerated oak barrels, new American oak barrels, Hungarian oak barrels, and barrels previously used for bourbon maturation. For the distillation process, Pot Still copper stills are adopted according to the most laborious but qualitative discontinuous method. In addition to the production of gin, vodka, and whisky, the East London Liquor Company is dedicated to the independent import and marketing of fine rums from Caribbean islands such as Jamaica and Guyana, sector excellences.

The spirits of East London Liquor Company are perfect for sipping neat and on the rocks or for use in the preparation of tasty cocktails, from classic to the most imaginative. The brand's selection features the Gin'Kew Gardens', born from the collaboration between East London Liquor Company and the famous Kew Royal Botanical Gardens to support botanical research and promote the proliferation of pollinating insects.
