G&J Distillers

G&J Distillers, formerly G&J Greenall's, is a brand that boasts over two centuries of history. It is, in fact, an ancient distillery that has been producing gin since 1761. The company was founded by Thomas Dakin, later passing into the hands of the Greenall family. Surviving a devastating fire in 2005, which fortunately spared the stills, it was relocated to Warrington, in the northwest of England. The fame of the distillery is due to an excellent quality level, which has remained constant over time. The secret lies in the fact that, since its foundation, there have only been seven Master Distillers who have held this prestigious and delicate role within the distillery. Thanks to their valuable savoir-faire, passed down through the centuries, a wealth of knowledge has been preserved that still today constitutes the true invaluable richness.

Even today, G&J Distillers can rely on an extraordinary wealth of experience and artisanal customs in the ancient art of gin production. To thistraditions has been added a modernization of production and bottling facilities, which allows the company to present itself in the markets as one of the most important realities, capable of offering a high-end gin collection and other spirits of excellent quality. Today, at the helm of G&J is Master Distiller Joanne Moore, who is responsible for carrying on the historic tradition and creating new products in line with the great past of a brand that continues to represent a true institution in the sector.

Joanne Moore joined the company in 1996, starting her career as a Quality Controller and quickly moving up to the role of Quality Manager, before reaching the top of the distillery. She is universally recognized as one of the most skilled and talented Gin Master Distillers in the world. Thanks to her deep historical knowledge of the sector and a particular sensitivity in the selection and blending of botanicals, she has been able to create gin labels of extraordinary value: BLOOM, Berkeley Square
