The Italian brand Bottega del CoffeeMaker was born in 2022 from the collaboration between Federico Raso and Alfredo La Cava with the intention of merging the world of coffee with that of spirits, thus creating unconventional ‘spirits’. Federico is a talented barista who ranked among the top 5 baristas in Italy at the 2019 Italian Coffee Championship, while Alfredo is a skilled flavorist with about 40 years of experience in the field. Alfredo's work in understanding how to best distill coffee, an ingredient rarely used in the world of spirits, has been fundamental. The brand is based in Chieri, in the province of Turin, where, according to meticulous artisanal methods, Federico and Alfredo, respectively the coffee expert and the artisan distiller, bring to life peculiar premium quality gins.
For the production of its distillates, the ‘del CoffeeMaker’ brand carries out a careful selection of ingredients, including coffee from various origins, grapefruit, coriander, and juniper. Each ingredient undergoes a separate distillation process, a technique that allows for balance the aromas of the botanicals perfectly, creating a combination of great harmony. In addition to quality, the ‘del CoffeeMaker’ brand pays close attention to environmental sustainability, which is why it exclusively uses 100% recycled glass bottles to package its gins, without the use of any plastic collars.
The first distillate produced by the young brand Bottega del CoffeeMaker is ‘L’Etiope’, a coffee-flavored gin with an intense and surprising character, absolutely original. Today, it is joined by the Vermouth ‘Il Burundese’ and the Bitter ‘Il Brasiliano’, to give two great Italian traditions, coffee and mixology, a special 'twist'
